6 September 2025. Jubilee pilgrimage of “Jonata's tent and other associations”

In the Catholic Church, the Jubilee is a year dedicated toto the remission of sins, reconciliation and conversion“. A tradition that has its roots in the Bible, where it was celebrated every 50 years as a time of rest for the earth and an opportunity to re-establish the right relationship with God, between people and with creation.

For this reason on the occasion of Jubilee 2025, announced by Pope Francis, the association La Tenda di Gionata has asked to be able to organise, on 6 September 2025, a Jubilee pilgrimage which has now been included among the events reported by the Jubilee secretariat.

On that day, together with other realities close to us, we will go on a pilgrimage with LGBT+ believers, their families and the pastoral workers who accompany them, as we have done since 2018, the Holy Door of St. Peter, to live together this time in which we are all called "to bring good news to the poor, to proclaim liberation to prisoners and sight to the blind; to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's grace» (Lk 4,18-19; cf. Is 61,1-2), to simply rediscover that we are all sons and daughters on the journey towards the Father.
