August 29, 2025/7 September 2025 Jubilee pilgrimage on foot of the LGBT+ Christians on the Via Francigena Sud
From 29 August to 7 September 2025 the jubilee pilgrimage will take place on foot of the LGBT+ Christians who will reach Rome, along the Via Francigena Sud, to cross the Holy Door.
Walking on the ancient roads of pilgrims is an experience that changes the heart. Traveling on the Via Francigena Sud is not only a journey in the present, but a return to the roots: to medieval travelers who entrusted themselves to God, to the pilgrims of all time who left everything to look for something bigger.
From 29 August to 7 September 2025, Christians LGBT+ parties from Terracina, will cross villages and paths on foot, touching places of spirituality and welcome. They will walk together, sharing the dust of the road and the joy of arrival, the tiredness and beauty of every dawn, the company and the silence of prayer.
The arrival in Rome is scheduled for Friday 5 September, but the culminating moment will be on Saturday 6 September at 3pm, when they join the pellegrinaggio giubilare de “La Tenda di Gionata e Altre Associazioni” To cross the Holy Door of the Basilica of San Pietro with the Cross of the Jubilee with the other Christians LGBT+, their family members and pastoral workers who accompany them from all over the world.
