How can those parents who meet the homo -affective reality of their children define themselves lucky?
How can this discovery live as believers?
The experiences that many parents have made in this personal spiritual journey, as a couple and in community groups, supported by psychological, anthropological and biblical reflections, were collected in the book "Lucky parents. Live the coming out of the lucky children as believers " published by Effatà Editrice, by the la Tenda di Gionata, and also presented to Pope Francis.
In Parma Monday 6 February 2023, at 5.30 pm, we will officially present the book, with some co-authors at the diocesan pastoral center, with the intervention of our bishop Enrico Solmi.
It seems to us a concrete way to follow up to what is written in our diocesan synthesis of Parma of the first synodal year: “The presence in our community of LGBT people Not only does it invite to an authentic listening, to overcome closing attitudes and unacceptable prejudices, but also represents a resource for the whole community, an opportunity to grow in deepening faith. But for this to be possible, adequate formation of lay people, consecrated and presbyters is needed: the goal is to reach a pastoral "with" and not only "for" LGBT people. "
