The Arca group for Christians LGBT+ and their parents was born in Treviso
Thursday 16 May 2024 in the parish of San Giuseppe in Treviso the Vigil to overcome homobitransphobia And it was the opportunity to formalize and present the group "Arca - Christian group LGBTE+"Of Treviso, or the group that organized the vigil, whose name is an acronym for 4 words that are the values it represents:
Agape: for feeling united in a group that shares values, suffering, hopes and joys.
Redemption: especially of those who - precisely for its dimension - feels oppressed and wants to get out of the darkness of discrimination and live free in the sunlight.
I walk: because walking together we walk further.
Hospitality: a smile, a handshake, a good word, a prayer can be the right gestures (and not only) to fulfill the commandment of Jesus "love each other ..."
The group consists of parents with LGBT children, priests, people belonging to the LGBT community and allied people who approached this context to help in this journey together.
Before formalizing everything we met from October 2023 once every 1-2 months in the parish of San Giuseppe di Treviso and we confronted each other on what happened recently in our Church and how we wanted to be present in order to raise awareness of the community of our diocese on the theme of homo officance.
We want to be a meeting point (and/or relief) for all those people who have felt excluded from the Church because of their sexual orientation or for all parents who had to face the homo -effectiveness of their sons/daughters with many difficulties.
