"How can Satan chase Satan?" (Marco 3: 22-30)
Biblical reflections by Mauro Leonardi*, priest and writer
Jesus who frees people possessed by Satan's power, announces to the world that evil will not have the last word and that even the flames of hell will go out: nobody can enter the house of a strong man and kidnap his goods, if First it does not bind it. And Jesus, binding death, has torn the seals of the underworld and defeated the evil forever. Only not to believe in this love, only not to love and not abandon himself to this love is a shame that cannot be forgiven.
From the Gospel according to Marco 3: 22-30
At that time, the scribes, who had fallen from Jerusalem, said: "He is owned by Belzebùl and drives out the demolis by means of the head of the Demòni".
But he called them and with parables he said to them: «How can Satan escape Satan? If a kingdom is divided into itself, that kingdom will not be able to remain standing; If a house is divided into itself, that house will not be able to remain standing. Etana, if he rebels against himself and is divided, cannot remain standing, but he is over.
Nobody can enter the house of a strong man and kidnap his goods, if he does not bind him before. Only then can he plunder his house.
In truth I tell you: everything will be forgiven to the children of the men, the sins and also all the blasphemies they will say; But those who have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven forever: it is an eternal guilty guilty ».
Since they said: "It is owned by an impure spirit."
