Now we are no longer sun. From the Turin Vigil

Testimony of Catia and Stefania of the groupSicar's wellof Turin onPrayer vigil for overcoming homophobia(Turin, 13 May 2024)
The vigil of Monday 13 May 2024 was the first vigil for the overcoming of the homobitransphobia celebrated in a Catholic Church in Turin.
We asked ourselves what will remain of this important evening and we have answers that we mainly acquired the full awareness of not being sun on our path of believing homosexuals.
A successful vigil, in which each of us of the group Il Pozzo di Sicar has brought a piece of oneself, its own ability, the desire to do, to be there, to testify and pray together.
The fact of being able to celebrate the vigil in a Catholic Church was pleased, seeing so much participation too.
The friends who responded to the invitation supported us and also helped us to overcome emotion and nervousness.
This wakefulness thus partially repaid us with difficult moments. The friends who intervened (lay and consecrated) sanctioned some wounds, made us more aware of their support, therefore stronger and ready to overcome new challenges and have certainly accompanied, in a certain sense, the pain of those who have been victims in any way of homophobia.
All of us in different, more or less serious ways, have undergone homophobic attacks and be able to pray together in memory of the many affected as we were consoling.
For those who participated as a "spectator", pass us the term, it was illuminating and enriching, so our friends and friends told us that they feel even closer to us.
The fact that our auxiliary bishop Don Alessandro Giraudo presided over the vigil made us feel close our priests, the diocese, the church, our communities.
In addition, the collaboration between the members of our LGBT+ groups for the preparation of the vigil was fruitful and satisfactory and cemented the friendship between us.
The "doing together" makes us stronger and more serene, even with our differences, ready to continue the path taken on this memorable evening that, we have said, we will remember in the years to come also with gratitude.
