On the international day of gambling against homophobia
Ichthys, LGBT homosexual Christians and Christians, Sevilla (Espana), 17 May 2011
On the international day of fighting against homophobia, we demonstrate: Believers in Jesus cannot stand with our arms crossed while there are people who suffer because of homophobia.
In the world, in more than 70 countries, homosexuality is a crime. At least 7 years old, a homosexual can be punished by death.
In Spain there are many cases of homophobia that continue to occur, even before the majority's patience.
What do we do to respect Christians? Shall we leave your voice asking for justice? Did we ask our brothers the value of our quiz in the shop? Are we ever capable of acting as Jesus Christ was?
How do we build the new King for all and all the Father's children?
Can anyone truly believe that Jesus of Nazareth would abhor so many oppressive norms, traditions and dispositions today for people regarding their sexual identity?
On the international day of fighting against homophobia, we demonstrate that Christ was resurrected for all and for all, without distinction. We firmly believe that God created us as we are, and we love as we are.
No one can change this transcendent reality. God is good by nature, nothing can be created badly.
Homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals or transsexuals do not have anything perverse. We just feel and express our affection in a different way.
Let us pray to the Churches, especially to our Catholic Church, which is valid and translates the Gospel into a friendly welcome for homosexual people.
We need shepherds, no lobos.
