The path of LGBT Christians of the Mosaiko group in a parish of Rome
.
The Mosaiko group of Rome aims to build a place of welcome and sharing paths of life, living and cultivating human and spiritual growth in the inclusion of the homo -affective dimension as wealth and possibility of authentic relationship with the other.
By spirituality we mean the innate ability of every human being to seek meaning, in order to develop a responsible attitude towards himself, towards others, towards the universe and towards God. Christian formation pushes us to the opening, comparison and the dialogue without barriers and boundaries.
All this has favored for some also a natural approach to a dimension of active faith, bringing us back to moments of community prayer again shared on several occasions together with the parish community of Santa Margherita Maria Alacoque.
The Mosaiko group was established and incardinated by his Eminence Mons. Giampiero Palmieri in 2018, when Pope Francis appointed him auxiliary bishop of Rome for the East sector, delivering the group in the hands of Don Angel (chaplain Tor Vergata University).
Bishop Palmieri and the subsequent ones also participated in meetings, convincing themselves of the importance of having realities and communities that deal with these issues.
Mosaiko, in its multitude of colored cards (coming not only from Rome, but also present in other regions) and with the presence of multiple identities wants to highlight that, each of us, whoever is already part of it and anyone who wants to unite can contribute to have and give light and space to a journey of faith in harmony with himself and with the entire Christian community: "Which live stones you are also built as a spiritual building, for a holy priesthood and to offer spiritual sacrifices welcome to God, through Jesus Christ“. In fact, we read in writing: "Here, I place in Zion a corner, choice, precious, and those who believe in it will not be disappointed."(First letter from St. Peter Apostle)
With our meetings we will practice experimenting with the rite of love and mutual care, so that our life becomes an expression of God's love.
Mosaiko's meetings are structured in three types of events: In the houses, called Oikos, which are carried out Before the Eucharist, in small groups and in preparation for Sunday with the lectio of the Gospel, personal sharing, the elaboration of a sign and the dinner/lunch shared. Oikos (òikos, home/family in Greek) underlines the importance of a convivial moment to ensure that these small family communities can be created.
In the parish: One Saturday a month Prayer and sharing meeting Themed or Eucharistic celebrations in strong moments of the Church or moment of common prayer.
In different places and in plenary mode: Vigil for overcoming homotransphobia (May), Vigils of prayer (strong moments also linked to historical events such as wars or other), Cultural promotion (Women's day, HIV, discrimination, cineforum and excursions), Daily withdrawals (Prayer or sharing), conferences (organized by third parties in which we participate as a Mosaiko group) e Holidays and cohabitations (longer moments of sharing and prayer).
