The transfiguration awaits us at the end of the tunnel (Luke 9: 28-36)
Reflections by Don Fabio
“The Lord is my light and my salvation: who will I be afraid of? The Lord is defending my life: who will I be afraid of? " (From Psalm 26)
Luca 9: 28-36: “And from the cloud a voice came out, which said:« This is my son, the elected; Listen to it! "".
We come from #luce and we are intended for light. This is the meaning of the #trasfiguration of today's Gospel. We come from the light and we are on the way to the light, but in this path from light to light there may be periods of darkness, just like what we are experiencing now!
He seemed to end a time that has shocked everyone, and instead continues, worsening, as if that were not enough, with a further #guerra that adds to all the others already existing, and that the #stupidity of the greedy man generates at any time.
Jesus, after repeating his announcement of passion, offers a moment of refreshment to his disciples who were dismayed, incredulous, frightened. Obvious, nothing to do with pain, suffering, the deaths that a war can cause. But in these moments of deep pain, our #solidarity, our being close, our love, our #welcoming the brothers and sisters who run away from every #conflica, is a concrete transfiguration gesture for each of them!
Compared to what the #signoridellaguerra #Potent can do, our gesture of love may seem little ... but it is that little flower in concrete, that life born in the #bunker, that song or music played in the middle of the rubble ... which gives hope!
With love, Fabio!
