With the gaze of God. Love without borders of the parents of LGBT+ people
When you find out parents of a child or a LGBT+ daughter (lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans) a tsunami is unleashed that takes many things away, others arrives and highlights some still unknown. Living this experience in light of faith is not easy, because it requires full intake of the limit, of what we are, of what we do, of what we want.
Never as in these situations are true the words of the apostle Paul: "When I'm weak, that's then that I'm strong»(2Cor 12,10), because only those who have the courage to get involved discover new truths, not only on their children and the LGBT+ world but also on themselves.
The testimonies of Christian parents with children LGBT+ collected in "With the gaze of God. Love without borders of the parents of LGBT+ people"I am the story of this accidental path of love that starts from amazement and fear, to reach the unconditional acceptance of the coming out of their children LGBT+, because" no journey is too long for those who love ".
Thirty -six pages open by a preface by Sister Maria Luisa Berzosa, consultant of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops, who writes "Reading these stories makes me understand how much we still have to progress and improve as a church for an authentic and effective pastoral care in favor of many people who still marginalize ...", while Don Gian Luca Carrega, in charge of the pastoral care with LGBT+ people in the diocese of Turin, in its afterword recalls that "if these pages have moved something within us, now it is time to transform this turmoil into a vital momentum".
To enrich this book, the beautiful cartoons made by Don Giovanni Berti (Gioba.it) and the final chapters on: "Coming out: resource and wealth" by Alessandra Bialetti, social pedagogy author of "The unexpected guest. Homosexuality in the family”Always published by La Tenda di Gionata; And the one on "families never more in the bare" who wants to offer a range of resources to draw to find support, be listened to, share experiences and seek support in dealing with the storm that the coming out can generate in a Christian family.

The printed version will be distributed free of charge to all participants in Vigils and Sunday cults for overcoming homotransbphobia which will take place in Italy in May 2024
