IDAHOT 2015. On 17 May, the Christian organizations will remember all the victims of violence
The countdown for the International Day against IDAHOT 2015 has started. On 17 May, the Christian organizations will remember all the victims of violence related to gender identity and sexual orientation.
The European Forum of Christian LGBTI Groups and Progetto Gionata invite all the Christian communities and the Christian LGBTI groups around the world to make their proposal for a new biblical verse marking the 2015 vigils and the Sunday celebrations. The verses you want to propose must be sent by January 30 2015 to the e-mail address gionatanews@gmail.com .
The website https://inveglia.wordpress.com/ will launch an electronic vote open to everybody to choose the verse among all the ones you will be sending. The most picked one will be IDAHOT 2015 official verse.
The initiative is also supported by the Joint Commission on Faith and Homosexuality of the Italian Baptist Methodist and Waldensian Churches.
For IDAHOT 2015 will be on Sunday, the Commission is preparing a special liturgy which will embody specific themes and symbols and it will be made available to all the evangelical congregations.
Progetto Gionata asks once again all the Christian groups and communities all over the world to take the lead on this incredible ecumenical initiative and share their hopes and messages.
Please, visit the website https://inveglia.wordpress.com/ and send your verse by e-mail to gionatanews@gmail.com
